The first to bring all their tokens to the finish wins the game. When reaching the square below his home column, a player continues by moving tokens up the column to the finishing square, entry to the finishing square requires a precise roll from the player. When able to, the players will enter their tokens one per time on their respective starting squares and proceed to race them clockwise around the board along the game track (the path of squares not part of any player's home column). Ludo (from Latin - ludo, meaning 'I play') is a strategy board game for two to four players without partnerships in which the players race their four tokens/pieces from start to finish according to dice rolls, each player's four tokens are out of play and staged in the player's yard (one of the large corner areas of the board in the player's colour). Ludo is a board game created in the late Victorian times comprising of a ‘Ludo board’,multi-coloured with different coloured squires, enclosed by a squire in each corner and a squire in the center divided into four different coloured sections.A Dice, 16 small counters( 4 Green, 4 Blue, 4 Red and 4 Yellow or any other colour) and a dice cup. The first player to move all of his 4 pieces into his Home triangle wins the game.Category : Games & Toys, Board games, Strategy, Tactics, Counting, Probability> When a piece has travelled right round the board, it moves up the Home column to Home, which must have an exact throw. A player chooses which of his pieces to move each throw, but if no pieces can be moved the turn passes to the next player.Ī piece landing on a piece of a different colour sends that piece back to it's PRISON, but if a piece lands on another of the same colour it forms a block which cannot be landed on or passed by a different colour piece until 1 of the block pieces is moved. A 6 must be thrown to move a piece out from PRISON and start the circuit, and a 6 also allows another throw. Highest Die throw starts, then play is in turn clockwise. Each Home column, starting square, and PRISON circles have matching colours. Pieces start their circuit 1 square in from the end of their arm, and adjacent to their PRISON. Players choose their 4 matching colour pieces and start from that colour PRISON. Each PRISON has 4 coloured circles on which the pieces start. The board's large central square has a triangular Home area for each colour. The central Home column cannot be landed on by other colour pieces. The board is square with a design in the shape of a cross, each arm having 3 columns of squares.
